Finally our ideas, our work and sweat and tears left the ground and majestically hovered in front of our eyes. For the first time our airship drone took flight and could be maneuvered in all directions, just like calculated, coded and hoped for.
It has only been tested indoors and through manual control with lots of magic tape stripped all around it. But we won’t stop here. This is just one milestone on our way to a fully autonomous outdoor flight with omnidirectional maneuverability.
A huge THANK YOU goes to all our supporters who are believing in us and who are helping us to grow, among which are the University of Stuttgart, the Institute for Flight Mechanics and Flight Control (iFR) chaired by our mentor Prof. Fichter, the TTI GmbH, the Startup Campus 0711 and many others.
